From 2021 to 2023, a partnership with OPTIMA Concept ® and Berthoud® allowed to develop a high-precision sprayer tailored for the trials. Based on pulse width modulation technology (PWM), the sprayer is able to automatically and precisely control the dose of product applied per hectare, as well as its distribution on the plant, at any point in the plot. Results showed a 4% average error in volume application, rapid response time, and consistent spray quality. Keywords: biocontrol, PWM, spraying technology, variable rate application
